High School Senior Raises Awareness and Funds for The Broach Foundation

WESTPORT, CT —Greens Farms Academy senior Henry Holzinger (Westport) had a very big month, both on the basketball court and off of it.

In addition to setting a new school record for 3-pointers in a game, and leading the Dragons to wins in three games last week, Holzinger was also named News 12 Connecticut’s Scholar Athlete of the Month for January.

Holzinger’s play on the court and his efforts in the classroom have both paid off, but he’s also gone above and beyond the call duty as a Dragon this year.

This winter, Holzinger along with his sister Lucy, above right, a GFA field hockey standout - have started The Broach Foundation Club at the school.

The club mission, according to its website, is “to raise money for the fundraising of brain cancer research and promote awareness of this cancer in our community” and was put together in honor of their uncle, who passed away of brain cancer.
